This statement explains the regulatory position of the FrontDesk platform operated by iRydo Ltd (“iRydo”, “we”, “us”) in relation to transport services.
2. NATURE OF FRONTDESK
FrontDesk is a software platform that enables businesses to request transport services, manage bookings, track journeys, facilitate payments, and communicate with service providers. iRydo does not provide transport services and operates solely as a software platform.
3. NON-OPERATOR STATUS
Regulatory Position
iRydo Ltd:
- Is not a licensed private hire operator
- Does not accept or reject transport bookings as principal
- Does not dispatch drivers in a regulatory sense
- Does not control drivers, vehicles, or transport operations
4. ROLE OF LICENSED OPERATORS
All transport services are provided by independent, licensed transport operators (e.g., Bolt Technology OÜ). Operators are solely responsible for:
- Accepting and fulfilling bookings
- Driver and vehicle licensing
- Insurance coverage
- Passenger safety
- Compliance with all applicable transport laws
5. CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIPS
The transport contract is formed directly between the Client/Passenger and the licensed Operator. iRydo is not a party to the transport contract and has no contractual relationship with passengers in respect of transport services.
7. DISPATCH & ALLOCATION
Any allocation, matching, or routing functionality is performed by automated systems and does not constitute operational control or regulatory dispatch by iRydo. All final allocation and acceptance of rides is determined by the licensed Operator.
8. PAYMENTS & FINANCIAL FLOW
FrontDesk facilitates payments through third-party providers such as Stripe, Inc. iRydo operates as a technology platform managing payment workflows and does not act as a transport provider receiving fares in a regulatory sense.
11. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
FrontDesk is designed to operate in alignment with UK transport regulations and expectations of authorities like Transport for London. This is achieved by maintaining a software-only role and ensuring Operators retain full regulatory responsibility.
